APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The Application Center Client for Windows Phone 8 opens with a
    blanc screen on Windows Phone 8.1 devices instead of showing the
    login screen. Hence, the user is not able to log in to the
    Application Center server.
    

Local fix

  • Upgrade the Worklight Studio with the latest ifix for your
    version of Worklight Studio.
    Rebuild the Application Center Client for Windows Phone 8 from
    Sources using Worklight Studio's menu entry Run as > Build All
    Environments.
    Then compile and sign the xap file by loading
    IBMAppCenter/apps/AppCenter/windowsphone8/native/AppCenter.cspro
    j into Visual Studio.

    The problem is caused by a missing notification from Cordova to
    the application layer. Since the Cordova library is produced by
    Worklight Studio, upgrading Worklight Studio and rebuilding the
    Application Center Client from sources can fix the problem.
    

Problem conclusion

  • A fixed version of Cordova is now used inside Application
    Center.
