This APAR addresses the following issues:
    1. BMP to MPP Program switch transactions are not being
associated with the originating BMP trigger. In the case that
the transaction is cancelled/abends before processing this state
is not reflected in the IMS PA reports, in addition none of the
metrics associated with Program switch transactions are
available for reporting in this type of transaction.
    2. Abend S0C9 COMCSUTC+396.

Problem conclusion

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
    1. Transactions that are spawned by a BMP Trigger containing
valid tokens (the PST ID and Recovery Token) are associated to
the originating UOR in the BMP trigger region. These
transactions are now treated as Program switch transactions
for the purposes of IMS PA reporting and the fields and metrics
associated with Program switch transactions can be calculated.
    2. For Fast Path reporting IMS PA creates an Index record for
each Syncpoint Failure encountered, if the Index record so
created does not contain a valid UTC timestamp then an invalid
STCK may be used in deriving the transaction arrival time.
