Error description

  • Deploying a MobileFirst Platform Foundation application that
includes a Windows 8 push sender to a MobileFirst Platform
Foundation Server (using the development server embedded within
MobileFirst Platform Foundation Studio, or using a standalone
server) may result in unusually high CPU utilization at idle.
The server may be observed to be fully utilizing an entire CPU
or CPU core. This high CPU utilization grows each time the
application is deployed, even though the application is not
performing any activities - each subsquent deployment may
result in the server fully utilizing an additional CPU or CPU
core, until all available CPUs or cores are exhausted.

Local fix

  • The MobileFirst Platform Foundation Server may be stopped and
then restarted to temporarily relieve the unusually high CPU
    utilization.
