Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM Session Manager V3.2. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Large number (50+) of Broadcasts with * * HOLD option causes high CPU usage and * * slow response times. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the PTF. * **************************************************************** The BROADCAST panel has a DOMAX value of 50. If the number of BROADCASTs queued to the USER generates more than 50 lines then ISM will inform the USER that the DOMAX value has been breached by issuing a BROADCAST to them! This means we go into a loop perpetually issuing BROADCASTs and trying to deliver them to the user.
Problem conclusion
The DOMAX value has been extended to 100. 200Y ISZLCAUG ISZLDEUG ISZLENUG ISZLJAUG
