Rational Developer for System z - RDz - V 9.1 According to the IMS documentation, the 'line-increment' of the 'DO' statement has a default value of '1' and can be missed. The following lines are equivalent: DO 4,,18,BOUND=FIELD DO 4,1,18,BOUND=FIELD In MFS Editor, the first line is wrongly marked with the following error: Encountered "," at line nn, column cc. Was expecting one of: "BOUND" ... "SUF" ... <DECIMALINT> ... <HEXADECIMALINT> ... <LABEL> ... <LABEL_HEXADECIMALINT> ...

Problem conclusion
The real time syntax check of the MFS editor is fixed to support the omission of the keyword for the 'DO" statement. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for System z V9.1.1.1 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
