APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A user launches an app and is informed that an update is
  available.  When the update is initiated, no progress bar is
  displayed.  The app relaunches and the splash screen hangs.
  The user needs to close and relaunch the app in order for it to
  work.  At this time, it is found that the update was successful.
  

Local fix

• Close the in app web page before update

Problem conclusion

• the user should close the in app browser before direct update if
  he wants it to reopen after direct update but the application
  won't crash anymore
