Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Load * * Balancer users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The HTTPS advisor might retry the * * request when the response does not * * match expected advisorresponse. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Load Balancers HTTPS advisor may retry a request when a response does not match the expected advisorresponse.
Problem conclusion
When the response does not match the advisorresponse, an internal error code is set but future code assumes there was a socket error when any error code is set and opens a new socket to send the request. This leads to an extra attempt before the server is marked down. This issue affects both Load Balancer for ipv4 and Load Balancer for ipv4 and ipv6. Fix levels: 7.0 : 7.0.0.33 (ipv4) 7.0.0.40 (ipv6) 8.0 : 8.0.0.11 (both) 8.5 : 8.5.5.6 (both)
