PI31446: QMGR ABN=5C6-00D10345 DUE TO MISSING A REQUIRED ARCHIVE LOG

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• z/OS QMGR tries to read an archive log which is no longer
  available, QMGR gets 5C6-00D10345 abend and terminates
  abnormally.
  
  It occurs when an IMS bridge UR goes indoubt and is shunted
  before the connection with IMS is lost. The queue-manager
  creates an RURE control block for the UR, but the shunt
  information is lost. Therefore when the connection with IMS is
  re-established and determines that the UR needs to be
  backed-out, it does not read the shunted log-records but tries
  to read the original log records, which in this case are no
  longer available, hence the 5C6-00D10345 abend occurs.
  (CSQRRURA needs to be changed to copy the shunt information
  from the URE to the RURE).

  The queue manager is trying to resolve a long-running indoubt
  unit of work which is associated with an IMS bridge queue.
  Active logs have been archived so that the UOW has been
  shunted, however the shunt information has not been copied by
  CSQRRURA into the RURE. Therefore the RBA information required
  to resolve the UOW is incorrect as it refers to the original
  RBA, not the RBA of the shunted data.
  If the archive log has been deleted then the UOW cannot be
  resolved resulting in CSQJ104E and CSQJ151I being issued, and
  the queue manager abends.
  

Problem conclusion

• CSQRRURA has been changed so that the shunt information is
  copied into the RURE.
