PI30499: UPDATE CQ 8.0.1 FIXPACKS WITH WAS 64BIT NOT SUPPORTING FULL TEXT SEARCH

Error description

  • The Software Product Compatibility Report for CQ 8.0.1 and
    fixpacks needs to be updated with WAS behavior i.e. WebSphere
    Application Server 64-bit not supported as a Full Text Search or
    Reporting host.
    
    If we run SPCR for CQ 8.0.1 initial version and navigate to >
    Web Servers > WebSphere Application Server > Click on 8.0 or 8.5
    version of WAS a pop up window opens and displays the
    information "WebSphere Application Server 64-bit not supported
    as a Full Text Search or Reporting host".

    However,
    
    If we run SPCR for CQ 8.0.1.1 to CQ 8.0.1.5 versions and
    navigate to > Web Servers > WebShere Application Server > Click
    on 8.5.5 version of WAS a pop up window opens but there is no
    update saying "WebSphere Application Server 64-bit not supported
    as a Full Text Search or Reporting host".

    By this customers are getting confused thinking that WAS 8.5.5
    64-bit version supports Full Text Search which is incorrect and
    miss leading.

Problem conclusion

  • A fix is available in ClearQuest 8.0.1.7.
    The Software Product Compatibility Report for ClearQuest 8.0.1.x
    has been updated to say  "WebSphere Application Server 64-bit is
    not supported as a Full Text Search or Reporting host".
