PI30406: DEADLOCKS AND SQLCODE -913 FOR MULTIPLE CONCURRENT USERS

Error description

• Database deadlocks occurs for multiple concurrent users of
  Business Space UI (WAS)
  While testing WSRR with multiple users, up to 5 concurrent
  users, the Business Space UI reports:
  "Action Failed"
  "An error occurred while performing the action. Error message:
  GSR0597E: An error occurred when accessing the metadata store."
  Similar text for errors with  Create Failed, Update Failed .
  Some of the errors indicate sqlcode -913

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Ridlist access timed out due to waiting *
  *                      for delete transaction to commit even   *
  *                      though USE CURRENTLY COMMITTED is used  *
  *                      as CONCURRENT ACCESS RESOLUTION.        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  If a query uses ridlist access, and Currently Committed is used
  as CONCURRENT ACCESS RESOLUTION, it still waits for the delete
  transaction to commit. As a consequence, the query times out.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 code has been modified to let ridlist access honor USE
  CURRENTLY COMMITTED semantic.
