PI29344: R14 SAVE AREA IN DUMMY DSA MAY NOT ALWAYS HAVE THE CORRECT MODE BIT SET CAUSING ABEND0C4 S0C4

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When setting up / registering a user
  handler, LE replaces the original R14 save
  area with an address that may not
  correctly have the mode bit set.  Any code
  depending on this address interprets it as
  a 24-bit address, causing a S0C4 or
  unpredictable results.
