Error description

  • This APAR will provide a product parameter which will control
whether specifications and profiles can be created at the data
sharing member level. This new parameter will be specified in
the product control file. Both the ISPF interface and web
browser interface will use this parameter to determine if
profiles on the ISPF side and specifications on the web browser
side will be allowed to be created at the member level.

This will not affect any profiles/specifications previously
created at the member level. The filter process will remain the
same so if they need to get to a profile/ specification created
at the member level they will filter on the member name. If
they want to view profiles/specifications created on the group
name they will filter on the group name. If they should need to
update or use aprofile/specification created at the member level
they will still be allowed to use it or update it.

When the new parameter is turned on if a user tries to create a
profile/specification at the member level when they go to save
it they will be displayed a warning message that they are not
allowed to saveat the member level and the rofile/specification
will then be saved under the group name.
