PI28847: AppScan Source does not honor non-default solidDB port on upgrade, resulting in HY000 SOLID Communication Error 21306

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When upgrading AppScan Source to v901 or v90 with non-default
  SolidDB port configured, after inputting DB user name and
  password during installation wizard, below error occurs:
  
  HY000 SOLID Communication Error 21306: Server 'tcp localhost
  <non-default port#>' not found, connection failed.
  
  Workaround steps:
  1. When the error happens, locate solid.ini file in user temp
  folder. (Location is in solmsg.out)
  %temp%\xxxxxx.tmp\solidDB\appscansrc\solid.ini
  2. Change the port setting there.

  When user selects a non-default port to host their solidDB
  service and then selects to upgrade the product to a later
  version, the upgrade fails because during upgrade product
  looks for default port instead of the port that user was
  using before upgrade.
  

Problem conclusion

• It is now fixed that during upgrades we use the port that
  has been selected by user before upgrade process.
