Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM WebSphere Application Server Liberty * * profile users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: productUtility validate outputs errors * * multiple times * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** As problem files are detected they are added to an output buffer. When all files associated with a feature have been checked any problems are reported by displaying the output buffer. This buffer is not reset between each feature causing the buffer to grow with each subsequent feature that is validated. If files associated with multiple features have become corrupt then the productInfo validate command will output for each successive feature all the validation problems discovered so far rather than the errors associated with just that feature.
Problem conclusion
The output buffer is reset after reporting on each individual feature ensuring the problems are only output at the appropriate point. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.4.
