Error description

  • On Android, the busy indicator does not hide itself when calling
    WL.BusyIndicator.hide() immediately after
    WL.BusyIndicator.show().

    To recreate:

    1) Create Hybrid App Project Add the following to wlcommoninit
    // Common initialization code goes here
    spinner = new WL.BusyIndicator('body', {
             text : "Loading",
             fullScreen : true
    });
    // test 1
    spinner.show();

    spinner.hide();
    3) Create android environment
    4) Deploy app for android device (eg. Samsung Galaxy Tab 3)
    5) Run app
    6) Spinner shows.
    7) Spinner not hidden.

Local fix

  • Introduce some delay in between show and hide function call to
    ensure show method was completed before hide function is being
    invoked.
