When the error occcurs it manifests with the following snippet in the stack trace; at org.apache.webbeans.context.LibertyContextsService.destroy(Liber tyContextsService.java:185) at org.apache.webbeans.ejb.WSEJBInterceptor.deActivateContexts(WSEJ BInterceptor.java:222)
Problem conclusion
The resolution was to replace the call to ContextService.destroy() with a call to ContextService.endContext() for the (request) context to be ended. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.4.
