Error description

  • CSQY220I CSQSCTL Queue manager storage usage
CSQY222E CSQSCTL Queue manager is critically short of local
             storage - take action
Storage shortage in the queue manager address space. When the
queue manager does a CF structure recovery, it creates a new
storage pool for processing the logs. When recovery is finished,
this pool is freed. Due to the storage alignment requirements
for CF operations, this is a special pool, and some of the
storage is not freed correctly. Due to the large number of
recovery attempts, the queue manager leaks a large amount of
storage (around 700MB) and uses up most of the available
    storage below the bar.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When the queue manager recovers a CF structure, a storage pool
is allocated to hold information on the relevant messages that
    are to be restored.
The storage pool is released again after recovery completes.
However, given that the storage required for CF operations needs
to be page aligned, the normal buffer infrastructure is in a
special case scenario and acquires additional storage.
This additional storage is not released when the buffer pool is
    freed, causing the leak.
Each structure recovery leaks at least x7E0000 bytes of storage.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed to correctly release all the storage
associated with a given storage pool.
