PI25016: UNABLE TO INSTRUMENT ANDROID APPLICATION FROM WORKLIGHT WITH AN OUT OF MEMORY ERROR

Error description

• Android application import into Mobile Test Workbench (8513) in
  Worklight (6.2) fails with a Java Out of Memory error. The apk
  imports successfully in RTW 8.6

• The Out of memory exception was being raised when RTW tries to
  instantiate another JVM as part of Android build and at this
  point the OS is unable to allocate the required memory. The
  amount of memory required for the second instance is specified
  in the -Xmx VMARG parameter. RTW uses the -Xmx value from
  Eclipse.ini to provide to the second JVM. Reusing VMARGS from
  Eclipse.ini for Android Build is as per design considering that
  the memory that it requires is similar to what Eclipse typically
  needs. User is requested to tune the Eclipse.ini file parameters
  so that the instrumentation process goes through.
