PI24870: AN EXTRA <LOGGING> ENTRY IS ADDED TO SERVER.XML FILE CAUSING CUSTOM LOGGING SETTINGS TO BE IGNORED

IBM Worklight Interim Fix README for 6.2.0.1

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In Worklight Studio 6.2, if you open Worklight Development
  Server's server.xml file, look for the existing <logging
  consoleLogLevel="AUDIT" copySystemStreams="false"/> entry, then
  modify it to use a custom setting, for example
  consoleLogLevel="INFO", then restart Worklight Studio.
  
  When Worklight Studio has completed restarting, if you navigate
  to server.xml file again, you fill find an extra <logging> line
  to the end of the server.xml file:
  <logging consoleLogLevel="AUDIT" copySystemStreams="false"/>
  
  Since this line comes later in the file, it takes precedence
  over the first line for the server, causing your custom setting
  to be ignored.
  

Local fix

• A workaround is to not remove the appended element and to
  reverse both the <logging> elements order so that the customer's
  one is taken into account.
