APAR status

Error description

  • External (non-QCF) response time reports (such as RMF III)
    are not showing the correct actual time in response time
    fields, due to QCF not properly updating a certain WLM prefix
    field ( MSGMGATM ) upon message reloads. Since this field is
    used for transaction response time calculations and various
    other preformance statistics it must be updated to reflect
    the proper time.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Corrected a bad timestamp in the IMS    *
    *                      message dsect (MSGMGATM) which is       *
    *                      zeroed out when messages are loaded     *
    *                      onto queues using a non-message         *
    *                      driven BMP. APAR fixes this issue by    *
    *                      updating MSGMGATM when a subsequent     *
    *                      QCF LOAD job is ran.                    *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Install APAR and the MSGMGATM field
    of the IMS DSECT will be updated with
    the current timestamp
