Error description

Following NullPointerExceptions were thrown from session
manager code stating the Application server was stopping even
though the server is up and running.

Exceptions may be thrown from customer implemented
HttpSessionListeners during shutdown.
This may create an instance where the server becomes stuck in a
'stopping' state, preventing any further access to the server
until the JVM is restarted.

Problem conclusion

A try/catch condition was added to destruction of
HttpListeners, allowing the shutdown to continue running.
The error is appropriately logged in the trace.
This APAR is targeted for inclusion in WebSphere Application
Server Fix packs 7.0.0.37, 8.0.0.10, and 8.5.5.4.
