    DB2 Admin will put the table space of a table into Read-Only
    (RO) status before dropping the table, and should put the
    table space back into Read-Write (RW) status before creating
    the table. Instead, DB2 Admin does not generate the DB2
    command to put the table space back into RW status if the table
    name is a reserved word with double quotes, and fails with a
    SQLCODE=-904 / SQLCODEN904.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been resolved. The table space is put back into
    Read-Write (RW) status before creating the table.

    The previously defined Work Statement List (WSL) will need to
    be regenerated to generate the following DB2 command:

    '-STA DB(db_name) TS(ts_name)'.
