PI20936: WHEN USING SERVLET GATEWAY, UNABLE TO LOG IN IF DISPATCHER DOMAIN DIFFERS FROM GATEWAY DOMAIN

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If Cognos BI is configured such that the Dispatcher URI for
  Gateway property has one domain, but the domain in the gateway
  URL used to access Cognos does not use that domain, users are
  unable to log in via the Servlet Gateway.  After entering
  credentials and clicking OK, the user is presented with the log
  in screen again. Logging in via other gateway types (e.g. CGI or
  ISAPI) works correctly.
  

Local fix

• Edit the cookie settings in Cognos Configuration and specify a D
  omain property that matches the domain used in the Gateway URL.
