Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Resource filtering does not cover all * * resource load cases * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The Extension Class Loader's resource filtering mechanism (which suppresses some resource loads from WebSphere Application Server-level class loaders) did not cover all getResources scenarios, allowing some loads through. In some cases, this resulted in applications utilizing SLF4J to see the benign "Class path contains multipls SLF4J bindings" warning even when the filtering was in place.
Problem conclusion
Scope of the filtering mechanism was expanded to cover all resource load cases. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.10 and 8.5.5.4.
