Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CICS may terminate with an AK5802 abend * * if the CSKP transaction is run from a * * terminal. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The CSKP transaction is designed to be started internally by CICS, but the code does not check that it has been started that way. If the CSKP transaction is run from a terminal and CICS has been started with JCT=NO, for example in CICSICCF, DFHAKP will issue an AK5802 abend and CICS will be terminated. Problem conclusion
DFHAKP has been changed to issue an ARM0 transaction abend if the CSKP transaction has been started incorrectly. The CICS Transaction Server for VSE/ESA User's Handbook SX33-6101-00 has been changed on page 202 to include a description of abend code ARM0. Abend Module Explanation ARM0 DFHAKP An attempt was made to attach a transaction specifying DFHAKP as the program to be given control, but the transaction was not internally attached by CICS. The IBM z/VSE Messages and Codes Volume 3 SC34-2634-02 Transaction Abends will be changed to include a description of abend code ARM0. ARM0 Explanation: An attempt was made to attach a transaction specifying DFHAKP as the program to be given control, but the transaction was not internally attached by CICS. System action: The task is abnormally terminated with a CICS transaction dump. User response: Ensure that CSKP is not run from a terminal. If this is not the case, you need further assistance from IBM to resolve this problem. See Part 4 of the CICS Problem Determination Guide for guidance on how to proceed. Module: DFHAKP
