PI19509: ODBC GATEWAY PREPARES SQL OVER AND OVER AGAIN FOR EVERY PARAMETER VALUE IN A MASTER-DETAIL REPORT

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• In master-detail report, a cursor is created for a parameter
  value, and then released before next cursor is created for next
  parameter value.  UDA did not execute the prepared SQL for new
  parameter, but prepared the SQL again.  ??Preparing SQL again
  reverses the repeating execution concept for a parameterized
  query, and would cause performance impact.
