APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When Microsoft Internet Explorer (IE) 8 is used with IBM
  Rational
  ClearQuest (CQ) Web client, CQ chart can not be seen in the CQ
  Web interface.  The issue was seen if the OS locale is set as
  Japanese, however the issue may not be locale dependent.
  
  The issue was not seen under following conditions.
  - IE8 on English (US) locale.
  - IE8 on English (Australia) locale.
  - IE9 on Japanese locale.
  
  Reproduction Steps:
  1. Create a sample database with schema "Defect Tracking".
  2. Login to the CQ web server using IE 8
  3. Expand "Public Queries" folder and click "Aging Charts" >
  "Closed (4) 30 Day"
  4. Chart will not be shown.
  

Local fix

• Use IE9 or higher, or FireFox.

Problem conclusion

• A fix is available in ClearQuest 8.0.0.12 and 8.0.1.5.
  Charts now display when using ClearQuest Web with Internet
  Explorer 8 on a non-English OS.
