Error description
Since migrating to CICS/Transaction Server R5.1, you have a transaction which is initiated via a TDQ with TRIGLEVEL 1 receiving a record. Upon initiation, the transaction deletes the TDQ and continues to process. If the transaction abends, it reattaches itself even though the TDQ shows as being deleted. Additional Symptom(s) Search Keyword(s): KIXREVrer triggerlevel, triglevel, tdqueue, triggerlvl
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All CICS users. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A TD triggered transaction which * * abends is repeatedly restarted. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A TD queue triggered transaction which abends is reattached as though the RESTART parameter was set to YES even when it is actually set to NO in the transaction definition. This leads to an infinite loop of transaction attach, abend, transaction attach etc.
Problem conclusion
DFHRMRO has been changed so as explicitly to set RESTART to NO rather than only setting it to YES if yes is requested. This ensures that the parameter is correctly set and not affected by residual storage.
