PI18154: UNABLE TO CONNECT TO HFM SINCE UPGRADE TO 11.1.2.3

Error description

• Cognos Command Center 10.2 is failing on all HFM tasks with a
  new HFM 11.1.2.3 installation. The original 11.1.1.3 HFM
  environment that was being used can still be connected to and
  works fine with all HFM tasks.??We can open the HFM client tool
  on the system running HFM 11.1.2.3 (and ICCC agent) and connect
  to the application with no problems.??Testing the agent to the
  system running HFM 11.1.2.3 is ok.

Problem conclusion

• The resolution is to fix the Oracle HFM 11.1.2.3.501 patch using
   the following instructions:
  
  (1) Install a .Java jdk160_35 x32 (needed for jvm.dll path)!  [I
  t is important that this is a 32 bit JVM.]
  
  (2) Check the JavaInterop settings in the Windows registry under
   "HKLM/Software/Wow6432Node/Hyperion Solutions/Hyperion Financia
  l Management" and "HKLM/Software/Hyperion Solutions/Hyperion Fin
  ancial Management".  The "HKLM/Software/Hyperion Solutions/Hyper
  ion Financial Management" node is the correct one and should be
  copied to the "...Wow6432..."  nodeexcept for the JvmPath which
  should  point to a 32bit jvm.dll.
  
  (3) Ensure that "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\HFM" and "HK
  EY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Oracle\HFM" are identical.
    Agent the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Oracle\HFM" node is the
   correct one.
