PI17555: SUPPORT TO RECOVER THE AREA THAT IS THE EXTENDED IOVF PART BY OAE

APAR status

Error description

• Customers cannot use the image copy taken prior to OAE for the
  recovery when the IOVF part is extended.
  
  This fix is for IMS V12 only. See APAR PI71981 for IMS V13 and
  V14.

  *                      Therefore the image copy that is taken  *
  *                      prior to OAE cannot be used to recover  *
  *                      the area that is extended IOVF by OAE.  *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  This APAR enables OAE to extend the image copy that is
  taken prior to OAE IOVF extension, along with the DEDB area, in
  order to recover the area that is extended by OAE using the
  extended image copy.
  This fix is available for IMS V12 only.

  Following new message should be added.
  
  FPX0178E  ICEXTEND|ICEXTEND=YES  is not supported by the current
  IMS APAR level.
  Explanation: The current IMS APAR level is below PI12801
  (IMS V12), or IMS version is not V12.
  System action: Processing ends with a return code of 8.
  User response: To use ICEXTEND or ICEXTEND=YES, install the IMS
  APAR, and resubmit the job. If the APAR is installed and the
  problem occurs, contact IBM Software Support.
