Error description

Moving a loopback directory to a IBM Rational ClearCase viewroot
directory (eg. /view/<VIEW TAG>/var) will cause a kernel panic
on the host system. This issue seems to affect AIX

WORKAROUND:
Do not attempt to move loopback directories into the viewroot.

* When using Rational ClearCase MVFS and renaming a file or    *
* directory through a view-extended name to a name in the      *
* viewroot, AIX may panic, even for an unprivileged user.  For *
* instance, doing "mv /view/test-view/var /view/var" will      *
* cause a panic.                                               *

Problem conclusion

A fix is available in ClearCase versions 8.0.0.11 and 8.0.1.4
