APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When using File Manager 3.4 Catalog Services utility, when the
EXTENTS command is issued, when there are a large number of
extents, PF8 can only be used once to scroll down, allowing the
user to view only a limited number of the extents.

Local fix

  • Using the DOWN command, such as 'DOWN 22' will allow the
viewing of all extents.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Scrolling the VSAM statistics and       *
*                      extent detail panel is not working as   *
*                      expected. The Low-alloc and High-alloc  *
*                      values are also incorrect if you issue  *
*                      the BOT command.                        *

* RECOMMENDATION: Apply the provided PTF.                      *
****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • File Manager has been modified to correct the problem.
