Problem mapping resource references to resources


The data in the resource-ref tag in application.xml is not
properly mapped to the the data in the resource-ref tag of
ibm-application-bnd.xml.

*                      ibm-application-bnd.xml files.          *

The WebSphere Application Server code is looking for the
"resRefBindings" element instead of the "resource-ref" in
ibm-application-bnd.xml.  The "resRefBindings" element is
not defined in the schema, but the "resource-ref" element
is.  Therefore the "resource-ref" element is correct.

Problem conclusion

The code has been updated to process the "resource-ref"
element when reading the ibm-application-bnd.xml and to write
the "resource-ref" element when creating the
ibm-application-bnd.xml file.  For backwards compatibility,
the code will continue to process "resRefBindings" in the same
way that it now processes "resource-ref".

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.10 and 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the
