PI15684: FAILED SYNDICATION DOES NOT SYNDICATE IN ANOTHER NEW PAIR

APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Syndicating libraries with items that have failed in another
syndication pair does not attempt to syndicate the failed
items on update of a new Syn/Sub pair.

Local fix

  • Click rebuild button instead of update.

Problem summary

  • Syndicating libraries with items that have failed in another
syndication pair does not attempt to syndicate the the failed
items on update of a new syndicator and subscriber pair.

Problem conclusion

  • Failed items were incorrectly being excluded from the update on
first syndication, leading to some items not being syndicated,
and possible failures during the syndication due to missing
    items.

On first syndication, everything is sent over, as is done with a
rebuild. After this point, update will return to its normal
behaviour of not re-sending failed items.

Temporary fix
