Error description
Confusion is caused by error INTERNAL when it shows in the Transaction Transit Log report under field Failure Reason as follows: InputQ Process OutputQ Total IMS Resp Failure Commit Time Time Time IMS Time Time Reason Mode 5866 1424 - 3883 - 0 316 768 - 1084 12454 INTERNAL 0 The IMS PA Report Reference manual documents this as: "Internal error processing transaction in log, contact IBM" The "INTERNAL" failure reason is simply that, an internal diagnostic error and as such should not be reported as a transaction failure.

The description of the field "FAILED - Transaction failure indicator" is now: The reason for an IMS or Connect transaction failure. Reported values are: blank Transaction did not fail ABEND Transaction abended CANCEL Transaction cancelled REJECT Transaction rejected SESSION Connect transaction failed due to a session error SF=? Fast Path Syncpoint Failure, code = ?
