PI15379: LM_LICENSE_FILE environment variable causes IBM Rational Rhapsody to crash

Error description

• Attempting to run Rhapsody results in a crash.
  
  SYMPTOM
  
  When you attempt to run Rhapsody the program crashes with the
  error message 'Rhapsody MFC application has stopped working.'
  
  Results:
  
  Rhapsody crashes before loading.
  
  Steps to Reproduce:
  
  1. Install Rhapsody 8.0.6.
  2. Set the environment variable LM_LICENSE_FILE to the path of
  your license, and add additional paths until the length of the
  value string is greater then 500 characters.
  3. Attempt to run Rhapsody.
  
  WORKAROUND
  
  Reduce the number of characters in your LM_LICENSE_FILE
  environment variable to less than 500.

  this problem belongs to RCL (Rational common licensing)
  team.  Please issue a defect to them.
  Rhapsody uses their licensing tool, and the defect is in
  there - so there is nothing we can do.
  The call that crashes the licensing tool is tl_InitLicense.
  
  Please refer to RES 26564
  As the customer has a work around, I close this APAR.

• There are no plans to fix this defect.
