PI14105: PROGRAM RESTART FACILITY ISSUES UNDOCUMENTED MESSAGE

Error description

• This APAR addresses multiple Program Restart Facility error
  conditions.
  1. PRF message IRT087I TOTAL CHKP CALLS: nnn BYPASSED: nnn
     is issued at the end of IMS processing, but this message
     number is incorrect, and neither the correct nor incorrect
     message number is documented in the PRF User's Guide.
  2. When message IRT250E is issued for module IRTRFEnn, PRF
     disables BYPCHKP processing instead of abending.
  3. Batch job ABEND0C4 in IRTRFE12 (or other IRTRFEnn modules).

  This APAR corrects multiple Program Restart Facility errors:
  
  1.  PRF issues message
  
      IRT087I TOTAL CHKP CALLS: NNN BYPASSED: NNN
  
      at the end of IMS processing, but this message number is
      incorrect, and neither the correct nor incorrect message
      number is documented in the PRF User's Guide.
  
  2.  When message IRT250E is issued by module IRTRFEnn, PRF
      disables BYPCHKP processing instead of abending.
  
  3.  Batch JOB may experience an ABEND0C4 in IRTRFE12 (or other
      IRTRFEnn modules).
  

Problem conclusion

• 1.  Correct message IRT097I, which was issued as message
      IRT087I, and add the new message to the PRF UsersS Guide.
      Also add related message IRT098I.
  
  2.  Correct the description for message IRT250E to indicate that
      BYPCHKP processing is disabled, but the job continues
      processing.
  
  3.  Correct code to prevent the ABEND0C4 in IRTRFEnn.
