    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When a durable subscription is deleted, a control message is put
    to SYSTEM.DURABLE.SUBSCRIPTION.QUEUE. Periodically the contents
    of this queue are consolidated which for a delete control record
    should result in all other control messages for the deleted
    subscription being deleted.
    An error in this processing causes other non-consolidated
    control messages for the sub (for example, a create sub control
    message) to remain on the queue.
    When the queue manager is restarted and rebuilds the durable
    subscription stage, the delete control message is no longer on
    the queue, however if the create message was incorrectly left on
    the queue, the subscription is incorrectly recreated.

Problem conclusion

  • CSQMDURR is changed to correctly locate and delete all control
    messages relating to a deleted durable subscription during
    consolidation processing.
