Error description

  • IMS Connect Extensions archiving was incorrectly processing
residual records in a Active journal. The residual records
appeared because of the omission of the end of file marker in
the active journal. This can happen when a IPL occurs while IMS
Connect is executing.

residual records in a Active journal. The residual records
appeared because of the omission of the end of file marker in
the active journal. This can happen when a IPL occurs while IMS
Connect is executing.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The IMS Connect Extensions archive process has been changed
to ensure these residual records are detected and are omitted
from archived journals.
