• Customer statement:This is actually as designed. All the older (
  non-direct) dimension editing calls will only have meaning if ma
  de in the prolog or metadata tabs. In general, it is true that a
  ll metadata updates made in a TI will only be applied after the
  metadata tab and before the data tab. If that's not documented a
  nywhere, a defect should be filed with the doc team.
  
  There are newer TI functions, such as DimensionElementComponentD
  eleteDirect that will function on all tabs. There is a tradeoff
  however. While he newer xxxDirect calls are more flexible, they
  are not designed for bulk edits and will likely perform worse in
   that situation.
  
  Bottom line, this is expected behavior and they may be able to u
  se the DimensionElementComponentDeleteDirect TI function as a wo
  rkaround.
