SBCS part of Japanese related mixed ccsids that are often used.
CCSID   290 <=> CCSID 1047
CCSID  5123 <=> CCSID 1047
CCSID  8482 <=> CCSID 1047

*                      for data conversion between CCSID 1047  *
*                      and selected other CCSIDs which are     *
*                      supported by IBM CDRA.                  *

The IBM CDRA provides data conversion tables for the following
conversions:

290  <=> 1047
8482 <=> 1047
5123 <=> 1047

These conversion tables are not provided by WebSphere MQ.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • This APAR introduces support for the listed conversions.

     MQI Applications Reference ->
       Code page conversion ->
         z/OS conversion support

Under CCISD 1047's entry, the following CCSIDs in the "Converts
to and from CCSIDs" list are to be added:

290, 8482, 5123.

Corresponding changes to each of the above CCSIDs entries in the
table will be altered to add support for conversion with CCSID
1047.
