PI12334: UNABLE TO CREATE OR LOAD HIVE TABLE WHEN USING BIGSQL WITH ORACLE METASTORE

Error description

• When using an Oracle metastore, if user creates a table in
  BigSQL and tries to load data into it, the query fails with the
  following error unless the table has already been created in
  Hive.
  
  BIGSQL-GEN-0010 Found an internal error: 'Failed to execute
  query 'LOAD HIVE DATA INPATH 'input_file' OVERWRITE INTO TABLE
  <table_name>': originating expression ends at <string> (line:
  2, column: 1): java.lang.RuntimeException: load failed due to
  an error occurring in hive: FAILED: Error in semantic analysis:
  Line 1:70 Table not found '<table_name>''.
  

Local fix

• Set serialization.null.format explicitly in create table
  command.
  
  For example:
  create table bleh(x int) tblproperties
  ('serialization.null.format' = 'NULL')
