Error description

  • The customer gathered a MQ GTF trace of a problem they were
    encountering. When they try to format out the GTF trace either
    using IPCS or a batch job, they is seeing "QRPL validation check
    failed" on some but not all trace entries.
    .
     The change team reviewed the trace and output and found that
    the 'QRPL validation check failed' is issued when the GTF trace
    formatter detects something wrong with the traced QRPL. In this
    case the problem is that there are some QRPL's from certain
    address space which are only xF0 bytes long, when the formatter
    is expecting x100 bytes.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When formatting a GTF trace. some GTF *
    *                      entries can receive:                    *
    * 'QRPL validation check failed'. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When formatting a GTF trace, the message 'QRPL validation check
    failed' is produced for some entries.
    The formatter is expecting a length of x'100' bytes, but the
    failing entries are x'F0' in length. These are entries for a
    version 1 QRPL, so the length is valid.
