PI11897: ABEND 4C5/744A2706 IN MODULE EZBTCRD

APAR status

Error description

• ABEND 4C5/744A2706 in module EZBTCRD results from TCPIP's failed
  attempt to set the delayed ACK timer.  Secondary symptoms are
  (1) ABEND4C5 reason code 74F52001 in EZBITKOB+x'750' after
  EZBIFQTO, the query arp info timer routine in EZBIFIND,
  attempts to get an exclusive lock on the ATTLK, and (2) ABEND0C4
  PIC 11 in EZBAFCAL's EZBAFTIM (AFPA (adaptive fast path
  architecture) cache manager timer) routine, at offset x'451A'
  in EZBAFCAL. In each of the three cases, bad parameters are
  being passed to the timer routines.

  A timer is being reset.  In certain timing scenarios, the
  control block can be updated after the timer is already running.
  If the timer pops before the control block update is complete,
  the timer routine can be driven with incorrect parameters.
  This can cause 4C5 abends in the timer processing routines.
