Error description
ABN=5C6-00940024,U=SYSOPR ,C=R3600.710.CMC -CSQMCTXE,M=CSQGFRCV,LOC=CSQMCLLM.CSQMCTXE+xxxxxxxx When the queue manager reconnected to RRS, it went through resync processing. This included a check for inflight RRS agents (ACE) that needed cleaning up. For each WAS ACE, it went through the list of existing context blocks (MCTX); for the ones that were no longer required, it set the interest data to null, freed the control block and scheduled deferred end of context processing. When the deferred end of context was processed in CSQMCTXE, it looked in the interest data to find the relevant context ACE. As this was nulls, it expected the current EB's home address space, in this case was the queue manager, to be used to locate the appropriate connection manager control block (MCLB), which didn't have one.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The queue manager issues abend * * 5C6-00940024 when a connected * * application address space is abending * * and a RRS failure is occurring. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** There is a small timing window where RRS resync processing driven by the queue manager and end of task processing can overlap. This can cause an end of context process that was scheduled during RRS resync processing to be running for a context where the interest has been deleted by end of task processing. This causes end of context processing to look for a control block that is no longer allocated, and abend with 5C6-00940024.
Problem conclusion
The code was changed to detect this scenario and handle it without issuing an abend. 100Y CSQMCTXE
