Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM IMS High Performance Pointer Checker for * * z/OS Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=HPC2310) * * users who run Space Monitor(SPMN). * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: SPMN reports wrong values in the report * * fields (%USE, %FSP and USED SPACE) when * * the allocated space for non-VSAM data * * sets is equal to or larger than 4 * * gigabytes. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** This APAR fixes the following problems that Space Monitor (SPMN) prints wrong values in the report fields: 1. When SPMN monitors a non-VSAM data set and the allocated space on a volume is equal to or larger than 4 gigabytes, the wrong value is printed in the %USE field in the SPACE ANALYSIS BY DATA SET report, the SUMMARY OF DATA SETS BY VOLUME report, and the SPACE MONITOR EXCEPTION report. 2. When SPMN monitors a non-VSAM data set and the usable free space for the data set is equal to or larger than 4 gigabytes, the wrong value is printed in the %FSP field in the SPACE ANALYSIS BY DATA SET report and the SPACE MONITOR EXCEPTION report. 3. The wrong value is printed in the USED SPACE field in the SPACE MONITOR GRAPH report under all of the following conditions: - The HISTORY DD statement is coded in the SPMN JCL. - SPMN monitors OSAM data sets of HDAM, HIDAM, PHDAM, or PHIDAM databases. - The usable free space for the data set is equal to or larger than 4 gigabytes.
