Error description

• After updating to jre 1.7 update 45, a "General Exception"
  dialog will pop up while the FileTransferApplet is loading.
  The dialog contains

    SecurityException: JVM Shared, not allowed to set security
  manager
  
  The JVM console will contain the stack
  
  java.lang.SecurityException: JVM Shared, not allowed to set

  .checkPermissionHelper(Unknown Source)
      at sun.plugin2.applet.AWTAppletSecurityManager
