Error description

• An invalid stack reset on SPASTERM process before it has
  completed its processing can cause abend 0C4 when reading
  parameters because the stack is no longer available.

  * USERS AFFECTED: All users of DB2 10 and 11 for z/OS.         *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND0C4 may occur after a WLM       *
  *                      address space has been cancelled while  *
  *                      a stored procedure is in the midst of   *
  *                      a database command. An example is       *
  *                      an ABEND0C4 in CSECT DSNTDCST.          *
  *                      This could also lead to an overlay      *
  *                      of the thread's own stack.              *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  An ABEND0C4 may occur or a thread may overlay its stack during
  DB2 WLM termination processing, due to 64-bit stack being reset
  in the terminating agent after the WLM address space has
  been cancelled.  If a spawned system command task is
  referencing data on that stack, it may become corrupted
  resulting in an ABEND0C4.
  

Problem conclusion

• DB2 has been modified to not reset stack during termination
  until all spawned tasks have completed.
