Error description

Installing an application EAR file that contains nested JAR
files fails with a NullPointerException ( NPE ) error.
A ffdc log will be generated which contains:

Local fix

Remove the nested JAR files from the EAR.

When an application contains a JAR file nested inside another
JAR file, attempts to deploy the application can fail with a
java.lang.NullPointerException from
org.eclipse.jst.j2ee.commonarchivecore.internal.strategy.NestedA
rchiveLoadStrategyImpl, in the getZipInputStream  method. The
exception occurs while building the list of files within the
double nested jar file.

Problem conclusion

The double nested jar file should have been handled as a
simple file but instead, is being considered a nested archive.
The exception is removed by a code update which detects doubly
nested JAR file and which causes these to be treated as simple
files.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix pack 7.0.0.33, 8.0.0.9, and 8.5.5.3.  Please refer to the
