APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Message 'ALAA419I: CHAR CONVERSIONS ENDED' can be issued even if
  the UNICODE services is set up correctly.  A flag being used to
  signify invoking the use of UNICODE services was not being reset
  properly and could lead to calling the UNICODE services with
  data that was not valid. This results in shutting down all
  future calls to UNICODE services and presenting the data that
  needed to be translated in hex format.
